Custom Error Pages in Website Hosting
If you order a website hosting from us, you will be able to set personalized error pages for your sites easily, since this function is part of all our plans. As soon as you've created the files and uploaded them to your website hosting account, you can check out the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia CP and click on the Edit button for the particular domain or subdomain. Inside the pop-up that will show up, you will see drop-down options menus for all four kinds of errors and for each one of them you can select an Apache default page, a generic page from our system or a customized page. In case you choose the 3rd option, you should only input the URL to the file that you've uploaded then save the change. A different way to set custom error pages is to set up an .htaccess file in the domain or subdomain folder and to add several lines of program code in it. In case you don't have prior experience or if you are simply uncertain how to do this, you may just copy/paste the code from our Knowledge Base article on that topic.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
All of our semi-dedicated servers support tailor-made error pages, so you shall be able to employ this feature for every single domain or subdomain hosted in your account. All it takes to do this is to visit the Hosted Domains section of the Hepsia CP, to click on the Edit button related to the given domain/subdomain and then to enter the link to the custom file. You can do this individually for each error type. You shall be able to switch back to a standard error page at any time if needed and the change will take effect instantly. Another way to get the same result is to place an .htaccess file in the domain or subdomain folder related to the web site which you want to change and to input a few lines of code within it. If you would like to try this method, you could copy and paste the needed code from our Knowledge Base article on custom error pages, which means that you won't need any programming skills or previous experience.
