A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run a company, for example. Since you may start receiving spam messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filtering software in order to receive only real emails in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a website hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a few features, but it’s very simple to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only one click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the concrete email address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or select another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be created with a few mouse clicks if you have a semi-dedicated server with us. The hosting account will be managed via our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain name hosted there. To enable the catch-all feature for a specific mailbox, you will have to click on the logo with the same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Disabling this functionality can be achieved in the exact same manner and will not take more than one click either. If the catch-all option has already been activated for a particular domain, you will receive a warning. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or modify anything automatically.
